My son’s first-grade teacher gives a test called “Mad Math Minutes.” Each morning, the children are given one minute to complete 30 problems. If they miss a problem, none of the others after that are counted, even if they are right. This doesn’t seem fair. My son gets so nervous before these tests. Is this a good way to learn math?
