Curfew Conflicts

We get so angry when we try to set what we think is a reasonable curfew, and our kids argue about it, or worse, come in just a little later. They keep testing us. Is there any way to make this curfew thing work?

Mad Math Minutes

My son’s first-grade teacher gives a test called “Mad Math Minutes.” Each morning, the children are given one minute to complete 30 problems. If they miss a problem, none of the others after that are counted, even if they are right. This doesn’t seem fair. My son gets so nervous before these tests. Is this a good way to learn math?

Saving for Retirement

Most of us know how to plan for retirement — stash away a pretax chunk of each paycheck in the company’s 401(k) plan, buy bonds, maybe open an Individual Retirement Account.

It can be quite a task to attract the man who you wish to be with. Let’s be real ladies, some of the nicest guys (and the best ones to be with) are many times a little shy and soft-spoken around women, but these are the very guys who will show you respect and treat you like you are valued.

How is it possible to attract men in this way? They may run away if you look too aggressive. You might not get anywhere if you wait around for them to move first. So what can a woman do about this? Read the entire post…
